Joel Lines is a multidisciplinary visual artist, who works with a range of media to create a mixture of conceptual fashion and performance costumes. Joel often creates from natural, recycled and up-cycled materials such as seaweed and kombucha leather, as well as using found materials, papers, plastics and collections of objects; and finds a way to create something bold, unique, chic, arty and colourful. Each project is shaped upon topics and themes that are personal, political, ecological or sustainable, creating meaningful pieces made with passion and love. Joel often listens to music and soundtracks that help along his journey in each project. Multi-sensory enquiry comes into play as Joel is creating and making.
